Mini Reunion in 14/15 September, 2012
We have finalized plans for our 2012 mini-reunion.
As previously planned, Friday Sept. 14th, we'll be at the Grande
Ranch on Old Route 30. We will be in the party room. People
will be responsible for their own bill. There is no cover charge.
We have the room from 6:00 P.M. until about 10:30 P.M .. Saturday
Sept 15th, we'll have a pig roast at the pavilion at upper City
Park near the YMCA and tennis courts. We will begin about 5:00 P.M.
People can bring their own beer and wine as long as we are
discreet. Local people will bring the side dishes and desserts.
Judy and Richard Ratzel will provide the pig. The reunion
committee will provide plates, plastic wear, glasses, condiments
and non-alcoholic beverages. The charge for the pig roast
is $10 per person. Paid guests are allowed. In order to get
an accurate count, we need your paid reservations by August 15th
at the latest. All paid reservations are fully refundable,
If we get at least 75 people, we'll have another mini between our 55th and 60th. If not, this will be our only mini. A lot of people expressed interest. I hope you all can make it.
On another note, sadly, since our last reunion we have lost Janet Donaldson Ebinger, Larry Loveland, Hadley Jewell, Jim Stevens, John Sheller, Sharon Yoder, Mike DiGiacomo and Alice Haley. Four of these people were regular attendees at the reunions and will be sadly missed.
Please get your reservations in while you are thinking about it. If you know you can't make it, drop us a line and let us know what is going on in your life. If you need help with hotel reservations or any other questions please call 330-345-6815.
News about 2012 events from Bob Gray
28 June 2011
The reunion is an open house at the "Old Ranch" on old Route 30 on Friday, September 14th. We will have the back room only. On Saturday, the 15th we are having a pig roast at a site to be determined before our final mailing. We are hoping for an attendance of one hundred. We realize this is too far for some to come, but hope we can get a better turnout of those who live locally. We would love to have all classmates regardless of where they live to attend.
The cost at the Ranch will be whatever your bill is and the cost for Saturday evening will be less than $20 per person. As usual, some of our local people are willing to put people up for a night or two. Just ask!
On a sad note, since our last reunion, we have lost classmates Janet Donaldson Ebinger, Hadley Jewell and Larry Loveland. Janet and Hadley were regulars that almost never missed a reunion. Janet still made it in spite of being in a wheel chair. They will be truly missed by all.
We have included a cruise agenda which continues to financially improve with the passage of time. The price for an outside cabin has dropped by $200. We need your fully refundable deposit of $100 per person by July 30th to lock in your room reservation. You will still receive all reductions in price that come through. If you are a maybe, please get your money in to take advantage of this offer. I believe you are allowed four to a room with reduced rates. This years prices for a balcony have come all the way down to $2000 per person. Please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at 330-345-6815 or write Bob Gray, 4892 Emalene Road, Wooster, OH 44691, and let us know how many to plan for.
